Each summer Edinburgh starts it festival season with the Edinburgh Film Festival.
This year the main event starts on 21st June with a screening of Gods Own Country at the Opening Night Gala at Cineworld. But in the run up to the Opening Night Gala there is a few things going on across the city, including the Film Fest in City at St Andrews Square this weekend.
Once again St Andrews Square will play host as an open air cinema showing some classic films right through the weekend, including Labyrinth, Mama Mia (dance-a-long!), Clueless and Singin’ In The Rain. There is also showings of children’s films on Saturday and Sunday morning, including Trolls (sing-a-long), The Jungle Book and Cars.
The forecast is currently dry but cloudy so it’s set to be a good weekend for it. Why not pop down to watch a movie or two and get yourself in the mood for a Festival-filled Summer here in Edinburgh?
