The Edinburgh alaphabet

Meadowbank

Perhaps one of the most unique features of Edinburgh is it’s colourful and vast history.

This history lends itself nicely to the number of museums and galleries Edinburgh has too offer – certainly too many to visit in just a day! With such a colourful history to take in, it’s no wonder Edinburgh is such a popular place to not only visit but to live-in also. And it is rather strange to think that you could well be walking – or even living in a area – with some historical significance.

The City Art Centre is currently running a Edinburgh Alphabet exhibition to celebrate the unique history Edinburgh has to offer.

It features many items from different museums across Edinburgh, including The Museum of Childhood, Museum of Edinburgh, Lauriston Castle and Queensferry Museum. The exhibitions is over four floors of the City Art Centre, features over 300 objects and runs a theme around each letter of the alphabet, with the common theme of Edinburgh’s history throughout.

The Edinburgh Alphabet exhibition runs from 19th May – 8th October 2017 and is free for all to enjoy.
