Edinburgh’s Open Doors

Easter Road

Edinburgh has some wondrous buildings in it’s midst, many of which are not usually accessible by the general public.

This weekend however, that changes. For one weekend each year, many of Edinburgh’s architecturally and culturally significant buildings open their doors, giving access to those who may otherwise not be able to see what hides inside. Best of all, it’s FREE, including those which you can access throughout the year but would otherwise need to pay entry.

With over 140 venues across Edinburgh and East Lothian opening their doors over the weekend, you’ll be spoilt for choice on where to visit, with many right on your doorstep.

Highlights include The Kings BuildingsThe Royal Obsevatory,  Duddingston Kirk, Gardener’s Lodge and Queen Street Gardens. Lothian Buses will also be opening their doors and setting off their Vintage Buses on trips around the city.
